Welcome to First Grade!

It was great to meet all of you Tuesday at open house! All of the smiles and excitement in the room is so fun to watch and hear!

You will find lots of important information on our blog. You will want to check the newsletter section weekly for upcoming events, dates and reminders.

I will also post many pictures on our blog of things we are doing inside and outside of our classroom!

See all of you next Tuesday!

Here are a few pictures to get to know me! I am looking forward to getting to know each of you!
This is Brailynn! She was born on June 5, 2016! We are so excited to have a little girl to make us a family of 3! You will hear me talk a lot about her this year:)
This is me (a long time ago)! I grew up as a gymnast and practiced many long hours at Gymnastics Unlimited in Grandville.

I grew up in Jenison and loved to help out the real cheerleaders at football games!

This is me in 1st grade!

My husband Chad! We love to go out to eat and explore new restaurants.

I love wedding cake/cupcakes! In fact, before having Brailynn, I was the supervisor at the Pinnacle Center and loved helping many couples get married! This is a picture of me when my staff gave me a wedding shower.

Here is my family's dog..Sophie! You will also hear me talk a lot about her this year!

These are my siblings (Sommer, Brett and Kyle) with my Grandma! She is 96 years old! She is my inspiration! I hope to be 1/2 the women she is in my life time:)

Here are the first and second grade teachers dressed up for reading month in March! Can you guess what characters we are?

This is my very first group of 1st graders! I taught at South Elementary my first year and then came back to Jamestown!

I hope you have learned a little more about me!  If you can tell me something that you learned from this blog on the first day/week of school; there will be a little surprise for you!
