Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms of 1c! We want you to know how much we appreciate you and all that you do for us. Thank you for your unconditional love, continued support and daily sacrifices. You are so special to us!

A Special Treat!

On Friday, May 1st we had a special visitor...Mr. Krikke!
Mr. Krikke is a chemistry professor at Grand Valley State University and came to Jamestown to teach us about science! He did some amazing experiments and some of us thought he was a magician!

Some of the teachers were even involved in the experiments!

The best part about his presentation was when he put goldfish crackers in dry ice and let a few volunteers eat them. After we put the crackers in our mouths and started chewing, smoke came right out of our mouths and some students even had smoke coming out of their nose!

Mr. Krikke did many experiments with solids, liquids and gases! This is one of our science units in first grade, so we had a lot of connections with what he was showing us!

Mr. Krikke was amazing! He did such a great job fueling our excitement for science and demonstrating each experiment! We had a blast! Thank you again for taking the time out of your schedule to spend an afternoon with us!
