Writer's Spotlight on...Kayleigh!

Kayleigh

Kayleigh chose to write a piece about a special person in her life! It is great to recognize our mothers for everything they do for us!

The important thing about a mother is they feed us.

A mother is a cook.
A mother is a person that helps people.

But the important thing about a mother is they feed us.

Non-Fiction Book Clubs

Non-Fiction Book Clubs

This week, we all chose a topic we wanted to learn more about! We worked together in a group to come up with some things we learned.

Not only were we working on learning new things, but also learning how to compromise, cooperate and work in a group to accomplish one goal!

We all took turns adding information to our poster.

Then we each got to say something during our presentations.

Writer's Spotlight on...Spencer!

Spencer

Spencer has a lot of important details about Police Officers in his writing! Way to think of details Spencer!
The important thing about a cop is that they keep us safe.

They arrest bad people.
They keep us safe from lions and tigers.
They keep people from stealing cars.
They keep us safe on the roads.
They keep kids safe at school.

But the important thing about a cop is that they keep us safe.

How To Make Hot Cocoa
By, Ashlyn

Have you ever made hot cocoa before? If you haven't I will teach you how.

You will need cocoa, a spoon, a mug, water and marshmallows.

First, take the mug and put about half a cup of water in the mug.

Next, put the mug with the water in the microwave. And put it in for 40 seconds.

Then, take the mug out of the microwave.

After that, put two spoons of chocolate in the mug.

Then, stir it. And put the marshmallows in. I hope you enjoy!

Fast Fact
Did you know that all of the stuff except the water and mug have sugar in it?
