Lillie's Persuasive Letter:
Dear Mrs. Anderson,
I think that we can read chapter books. First reason is you always tell us we can read, read especially chapter books. Next reason is we always read all the time even WEB but another reason is we read like crazy. That is why I think we can read chapter books.

Dear Dad, I think you should have a Dodge Ram truck because it has a tail gate and a bug shield.

Writer's Spotlight on Chase!

First, I was at a toad racing contest. The person made the frog jump. The next person was up. And the next person, it was my friend Trent's turn. Then it was my turn.
Way to go Chase! Awesome transition words and great use of dialogue!

Next, Trent got first place. I got second place. It was my first try.

Then, what I got third place, Carter said, "It's still special."

Finally, Denny held the toad. The toad that Denny held was the winning toad.

Super U Challenge Assembly

We had an exciting assembly on Monday!

The Super U Challenge team taught us about Respect and Responsibility.

We couldn't wait to see what kind of challenges they would have us do.

The red team and blue team had to dress in the super U gear as fast as they could! We learned about taking care of our school and the people in it.

Ava was picked to do the next challenge. She had to walk backwards while balancing these blocks with her partner. She couldn't use her other hand!

We cheered them on!

Then, both teams had to pass these super slippery objects to each other while the person at the end held them all in their hands! They were dropping them all over!

Vince and Lillie were chosen to do the Super U Slime Challenge! Vince was not scared at all!

Here is the blue team!

OH no Vince! Watch out.....!

We learned about trusting each other and made a promise to treat others kindly so as not to hurt anyone's feelings.

Way to go Vince!

Writer's Spotlight on....Sophie!

Get a load of Sophie's great transition words!!

First, me and my dad went around the loop in Muskegon State Park. It was fun! Not for Dad.

Next, we went again but dad was smiling. I had lots of fun.

Then, we got our picture taken with my dad on the bike!

After that, my dad was tired, but I wanted to go again!
