Our Field Trip to the Zoo!

We had a blast at John Ball Zoo!

Here we are listening to the presentation about animal classification groups and their coverings.

We were able to touch the bunny!

Look at the owl! We learned that an owl can turn it's head almost all the way around in  a circle.

We also learned that a tortoise has a curved shell and other kinds of turtles have flat shells.

The turtle's lungs are located in their neck.....weird!

We were able to touch the snake's skin!

Some of us did NOT want to touch the snake:)

This little guy couldn't stop following us around!!

Thank you to all the chaperones and first grade families for allowing us to learn at the zoo!

VIP Days!

Welcome V.I.P.S!

Wednesday and Thursday were VIP days at Jamestown. The students were able to bring one very important person in their life and show them around our school. They also were able to enjoy a breakfast of donuts and fruit at school!

Here are some of our VIPS!

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to come and see our classroom and school! Most importantly, thank you for being so important to the child you were with! We hope you enjoyed your time at Jamestown!

Writer's Spotlight on Ava D!

Way to go Ava D.!
I go to Craig's Cruisers for my sisters birthday.

My sister is scared. My mom tells her ok and she does it. The man tells us to go.

Then we go to the little booth. My mom says, "Do you want something from the ticket booth?"

We get milk duds. We get some and my sister opened her presents.
